Tissot
Tissot was founded in 1853 in the Swiss town of Le Locle. Later that year they produced the world's first mass-produced pocket watch. Tissot is also credited with creating the world's first anti-magnetic watch in 1930 as well as being the first watch maker to make timepieces out of plastic, wood, mother of pearl and rock!In 1930 Tissot merged with Omega and watches from this time are extremely sought after by watch collectors.
Tissot is an official timekeeper for the world championships in cycling, motorcycling, fencing and ice hockey.
Tissot has become best known in recent years for its tactile, or T-Touch technology with recent watches featuring touch-sensitive sapphire glasses, compasses, barometers, altimeters and even thermometers! T-Touch watches have been recently featured in the movies Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life and Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
